Tartaruga beach is a cove with crystal clear, warm waters, ideal for spawning 3 different species of sea turtles, which gave the name to the beach. Tartaruga is one of the favorite beaches and offers a wonderful setting. It is located 600 meters from the street Ribeiro Dantas.

Here you can enjoy serveral nautic activities such as kayaking and "banana boat". You can also find rental services for diving and snorkeling to enjoy the reefs.

n the right edge you will find a beautiful little beach with multicolored stones. In some areas of the beach rock formations make access to water rather difficult, but this is not an impediment because it is a crowded beach with good infrastructure.

Your can access this beach through a 600 mts. long path, in a protected area without buildings. There are barracks that offer gastronomic services and equipment for the beach.

On its left edge you will find a path leading to the beach Manguinhos. Ferradura is very busy in the afternoon because of its beatiful sunset and the "happy hours" in the bars that attract a big audience.
