João Fernandes is one of the most popular beaches in Búzios. It is a beautiful beach located at the northeastern end of the peninsula of Buzios, facing the White Island. It is an usually crowded and highly appreciated by visitors beach. 

With about 800 meters long, João Fernandes beach is a semicircle of calm and warm waters, ideal for snorkeling, diving and kayaking. There is also the possibility of boating and "banana boating". The beach is divided into two parts by an easy though pass rock formation.

On the beach itself there are several bars and barracks willing to assist you with savory meals and refreshing drinks. The vendors are one of the postcards from the beach and offer beautiful crafts as well as food and local products.
